mouta i never worked with 3d studio max is it too hard to use?

its not very hard to learn the simple basics, but it is hard to work with. you've gotta practice ALOT. its easier to use photoshop

here's a simple golf ball i made in 3ds max:



and here's a closeup with a bit more detailed grass, this second one took me about 3 minutes to render cause of the detail and all. and is also in a higher resolution...



i still have to learn how to make it 3d-ish.

anyways, check this out. followed two tutorials. one for making the diamond, and one to make a realistic render of it. hope you guys like these! i wish i had real ones eheheh.



took me alot of time to get the final result right. changed some stuff from the render tutorial. (the cloth ground for example, and some other things aswell.)
