TBH, having a discord would be more convenient in terms of knowing when someone is discussing a topic. I usually miss really fun topics or just come in late, when everything has died down. With discord, we'd be notified as soon as someone brings something up. However, this means that we may have to sacrifice forum activity. In my opinion, even though I really support the idea of a discord server, I don't think it'll be an option anytime soon with this new activity check thing. So unless some kind of bot can be made on discord that can link with the forums activity check, we really can't afford doing it. Especially because we aren't really the most active clan in game.

The only good I can see from having a discord server is pinging instep saying hello.

Is there any other reason to make a dc?

I wouldn't suggest that if we hadn't been scoring so well in activity points. But if we do have a discord we still have to struggle and strive to keep activity plenty, of course.

This is a really hard topic to discuss. While I'd like to have a discord server, we run the risk of losing our activity on forums. Since discord is easy to use and people usually take the easy route, it's somewhat safe to say that discord will take over our way of communicating.

You're right, as a clan we're very isolated from other clans on the forums. This wasn't intentional or anything, it just happened because we mostly stick to replaymaking. There are a couple ways to increase our name in the scene, and one could be to have a couple events that showcase us as a quality replay clan.


If you'd all like, I can create a discord server and we can try it out. We'll have to set a couple rules out beforehand but I don't see a reason why we couldn't try it out for a little bit.

Do keep in mind that I still need us to keep up our in-game activity and such.

I think it would be fine. Monk didn't die when a Skype group was made, it actually made us chat a bit more as a clan, as the option for vc was there. While still being active on the forums of course.

we can also announce on forums that we are doing something (like a call owo), since most people turn off notifications for dc.

also as victor isn't able to talk to us at the moment (his phone keyboard broke) I think he would love it since he's way more active in there but I don't know how he would position himself before the activity question

edit: my secret for forum activity is always having my browser open and posting chatting with people I'm playing the game (e.g.: sometimes I talked to Karbn about stuff here meanwhile we were playing together in game, we used to do that with victor a lot too)
