how about making overpriced versions of hitsounds, but they play for 10 seconds
I would like to suggest Force Forger
It works the same as the Flame forger, but with force.
Next idea is rewards from Toribash for arm dm and those stuff, if you get decapprize you get 10k. ofc if its valid because the system could be easily hacked so... yeah
Though in reality people may well moan on for 10 seconds after getting hit in Toribash this would just be weird and annoying.
1. The frames played where the hit occurs and the sound is triggered will likely not last 10 seconds. This will lead to the sound being played whilst the toris are frozen and players are taking their next turn.
2. When the whole match is played back the multiple long sounds will all overlapp and sound terribad.

It's true that a 5 second hitsound wouldn't last long in an engaging fight, but to my toribash, I don't hear overlapping sounds, other than two sources if both have hitsounds.
But a 10 second hitsound is WORTH THE WEIGHT
