lol, here we only have about 4 universities in every city (one for sciences,one for financial things, and one for literal things, and one other for medicine).
the points you earn are to choose what you want to study (also all our universities are shitty as hell).

I find it weird that you have to go through an entrance exam in order to go to the university, here the best one, which is public, has a one year course to get everyone on the same level (tho its the ultimate battle royal, in which round ~30% survive and move on), there's another uni which has a shorter course, 3 month, or you can just pay a private one

Onso that one year course sounds like good system. Im not sure but here in Poland we also have some sort of enterance exams at least thays the case for anything sport releated. I was planning to study dance and theres physical exam thay you have to pass aswell as show your dance style.
