I'm pretty sure i've seen instances of an elite's no being overruled by the "yes" votes of many others. Even if it hasn't happened and I'm not remembering right, I think that's how it works anyways: Usually, if an elite member says no, then it's a no. BUT if the support from the other members is great enough, the elite's "no" can be overruled. It might not be written anywhere, but that seems to be how things work here. Also, Because-I-Don't-Like-Him "no"s can be avoided by simply asking why the elite is saying no. If it's a BS reason, then the "no" can be negated.
As for Elite status (from recruitment forum):
By "ready" I assume you mean that they have the conduct and contribution which meets the standard of elite status. Just like it says there, if a person can demonstrate their capability as an elite before 6 months, I'm sure Dillon would have no problem granting them elite status if they asked for it and provided a brief explanation of why they deserve it.
I guess our difference in our sense of how long 6 months is can be chalked up to our age difference. Since 6 months is a bigger portion of your life than it is mine, it's longer for you. It actually goes by kind of quick for me. So I see where you're coming from.
And about your dissatisfaction with being junior status.. It was your choice to leave. I know it was because you had some friends in doxa who needed help if I recall correctly, but you should have been aware of the fact that you can't just leave and expect elite status when you return. When you leave a clan, your status in that clan is reset, you know this. Now you have to work for elite status just like everybody else. It's not like it would be that hard for you actually. You have a number of artistic talents and good tb skills that you can lend to the clan. Make some banners, sigs, textures, vids, win tourneys, donate to the clan bank, etc. Do any of these things and you'll be elite again in no time.

True, you can't just leave and and come back and request for elite. Ok yes, you did make the first vid but that was a long time ago. Also I don't just give out elite the last time I did it was because people stuck to 42 when I was gone.

I can see the value in adding ranks, but is it doable? Something like that would require that SOMEBODY is keeping documentation of each person's contributions. For example, at the end of each week, somebody would have to go to~... let's say Superkake's profile, write down his post number, then go to the replay thread and find how many replays he posted that week, then find out if he made a donation, made any textures, etc etc, and they'd have to do that for every member.
That all seems very complicated and a huge pain in the ass for whoever has to do it. UNLESS each person is responsible for their own documentation. But then I'm not sure how many people would be willing to actually do it. And I don't think we'd be able to just do it from memory (w/o documentation) like now, it's easy enough when it's only one rank up but when there's more it's just too much.
As I think about it more, the idea seems like it would be pretty cool. But like I said before, I just don't know if it's doable.
