Also people are crowding at Bass Pro shop to buy a crap load of guns. After talking to some kids, they said that it's the zombie apocalypse or something like that.

Being catholic, this could happen at some point but probably not in our lifetime. According to the Bible, It says that it can happen at any time. There is no specific time. day, year, century, etc.. So if it happens, it happens.

Australia is in 21/5 anyway. Its not gonna happen, and its highly likely it won't happen in our lifetime. I don't even think that other date is real, the 2012 one. Its just a shame as soon as you say "bible" or "god" in a doomsday speech everyone starts running for cover.

Somewhere in the bible it says this and it also says something along the lines of this
"No man shall know the day of Armageddon"
hence the words
"No man shall know"
"No man"

Since I believe in Christianity, this is what I am staying by.
If you can give me solid evidence that the world will end tommorow, before it 'does' by the man who predicted it, I'll be fucking amazed.
