I wonder if iridescent/pearlescent joints are possible. I'd imagine it would be, using ambient and specular variations.

^this would be a colour variation not a shader such as in Saints Row 3 where you can get purple with a bluish gradient or vice-versa

What pwr was talking about was the fact that color change based on where the camera is would be very laggy. And most people can't run shaders so that joint idea wouldn't be very good

i think obsidian stuff will be awesome like a really dark purple with a bit of a blue tint i don't know if this is a good idea, sorry if this is not the place to post this i just did not know where xD
