Gentlemen and Ladies, persons of non-discreet gender, and intelligent forms of the color blue,
I am Dominingle.
I was in Tea quite some time ago. I remember that it was one of the more laid back and friendly clans who knew that the game is not always SRSBusiness. I had loads of fun with Tea then and really owe a lot of my (meager) wushu skills to practicing with members of Tea back in the day.
Araccoon can vouch for me as far as game skills and not-being-an-asshole.
Here is a short list of my vital statistics:
Age: 27
Length of time with Toribash: around 3 years
Timezone: Eastern Daylight Time (GMT -4)
Belt: 7th Dan
Best Mods: AikidoBigDojo, Spiritwrestling.tbm, Realtoriboxing and that new boxing mod.
Playstyle: I tend not to rely on complex openers. I have a short list of simple openers for every mod I play (all improvised, nothing silly like wushu whipkick). Those openers all have the ability to be reactive to different circumstances in rounds after round 1. The short version is that I'm an improv heavy player. I tend to try to counter instead of attack, but I've got some decent attacks as well.
Replays:
I'm sorry for the lack of high quality replays. My computer recently crashed and I lost my data. I hope that my signature below and the two replays attached (recorded while making this app) will stand on their own as proof that I'm not terrible at the game.
Replay 1: dafdefedss
I use my standard opener and end up with my feet further away than I'd like. I compensate by pulling with my arms. I end ups squatting, so I straighten my legs to push my hips out and regain balance. I then use my right arm and chest to rotate my top half, which in turn rotates the opponent unexpectedly. I use my left arm to complete his rotation, and he is unable to land safely. Watch the replay once focusing on my bottom half, and once on my top and the opponent.
Replay 2: dafdefedssdadffe
The first half of this match is very similar to the last match. The opponent is much better however. Pay special attention to the grab tango that goes on. Notice how I use my right arm and left leg to stay on top of the opponent. I also am quite proud of the recovery after I fall, and my save at the edge (notice how the opponent can do nothing but attempt to recover from my last grab pull and release).
If you have any questions please post them in this thread with my name at the beginning of the message and I'll get back to you ASAP.
I hope to hear from you soon, and look forward to playing with you.
P.S., I work 40 hours a week and am getting married soon. There may be periods of time where I'm moderately inactive, but I'll never stop playing and being active on the forums.
