Every person's worst nightmare, when having an ambition, or something you want to accomplish, is the fear that they can't do it.
Once you get rid of that fear and try harder, experiment around, you are sure likely to go into higher grounds than you never thought you would.

Oh and, imo, best not compare oneself to another.

Most of us do. :P
But some are just better than the rest at using those things them tuts teach you. But the others can practice them tuts too.
And soon, little by little, experiment around to create that so called "own style"
