Name : Point
Race : Human
Class : Engineer/Mechanist/Tinker/Automaker etc. basically makes clockwork stuff.
Helmet : Sturdy hood-like helmet gives complete protection, whilst thick sturdy goggles can be placed over eyes for protection
Necklace : A necklace of keys is kept under armor, used to unlock plates to access mechanisms below. Also contains various keys accumulated over the years of wandering the world after the cataclysm.
Shoulder armour : Thick slabs of metal bend around, holding vital temperature differential equipment for rapid charging of the core systems.
Belt : Contains various pouches that are constantly ticking, filled with accelerometers and servos that can easily be manipulated to fine tune the clockwork suit. Also contains a large tome filled with a lifetime's worth of work in the study of automation and mechanics.
Torso : Plated armor vaguely resembles a suit with waistcoat and cravat, but stylish as it is it also contains some of the powerhouse of the system, perpetual systems and power storage systems. Various small light emiting crystals charged by the vibrations of special clockwork mechanisms display information about the state of the suit, from stored energy to consumption.
Gloves : Left glove is large and filled with clockwork dohickeys. A large crystal lens on the back shows how much charge is stored (clockwork to light conversion ftw)
Knee armor : Nice big plated knee-pads, marking the end of the boot drive mechanism that allows for fast movment. Also contains some of the most important perpetual actuators to help power the suit.
Footwear : Massive plated boots, driven by clockwork to assist in movement, so you can still move extremely fast and be protected. Boots come all the way to knees.
Weapon : Left glove (see above). Its heavy and has sharp bits, perfect for taking out... many things =]
Second weapon : Short barrel, large caliber breach loaded pistol.
Imagine the second one with the grey metal of the first and thats pretty much it.
How your character fits into the world : Point enters the world in an alternate timeline, in which technology never really progressed past steam. After a massive world war around the 1920s our time a lot of the world was left destroyed, and subsequently many continents took further damage as a lot of the crust collapsed due to over mining. Since then the world population declined nearly 98%, to just a few hundred thousand all over the globe. Since then many live in the sky in giant floating citys made of hot air balloons and other flying contraptions. Steam power is still widely used, however extremely few artisans survive, and even fewer clocksmiths. Point is one of the last, and a wandering mercenary.
