I DID SIR
HE'S MY COUSIN
Hopefully I can get my dose of immortality, then.

In b4 they unlock a genetic secret of immortality only, and thus can only put it in new borns. DAMNIT WHERES MY IMMORTALITY YOU FUCKS
Thats really cool, wonder if they will try to make something out of this.
I will devastate your pooder.
stumbler? I added this to stumble last night :I

I think the more likely path to immortality is through stem cells and whatnot, not through a jelly fish. But still, we may be able to learn from this

Also its not the world's only immortal animal, well I guess its how you define animal...
A pig and a cow and @#w#@ can be the very best of friends

what's the point of being immortal if all you do is swim around with about the same awareness as a potato.

a jellyfish can only swim very short distances of its own will - most of its movements are judged by the currents

so, it's even worse - what's the point of being immortal if all you can do is float around in water with an awareness of a potato?
tl;dr: deprived is spergin'
What if in the next millions of years that these jellyfish evolve into ocean-swimming and land-walkers and become the next dominant species of Earth after killing everyone off?

Oh, and maybe these jellyfish aren't even "immortal."
What if you take them out of the water, wouldn't they die?

That would mean that this is only limited immortality.
