just as the title says, is there any reason that shaders work on some comps but not on others?

some graphic cards dont support shaders.

It seems that the shader problem has hit alot of 3.04 users. :S

My card supports shaders 2.0, there is no reason that my graphics card shouldn't be able to run the game with shaders.

download the newest version. 3.05

features:

soft shadows: 0 will run faster
reflection: 0 will run faster
frame skipping: 1 will run faster.
fluid blood: 0 will run faster

THAT made mine work.

it seems that soft shadow was preventing me from having shaders. it freezes up the game when i put soft shadows on 1.

The only reason i knew is because stilf said there was a new version comming out soon. so i checked the download section every 2 hours for like 2 days. then i saw. :P

After downloading 3.05 and trying this, the shaders magically worked!
