Im workin on:

Step 1 - material + cuting out the head
STEP 2 - started to smith it
STEP 3 - addingdetails + ornaments
STEP 4 - final details

Looks ok so far, add more shade around thee eye's, and make them kinda uneven, so they aren't completely perfect. if you use Gimp i would use the air brush for that part.

Very good, it make it more realistic, just add some breathing holes in front, and some armored plates, and it will be epic

Next step is to play with shades + make it a bit more 3D
Repaired the background, added shading+some 3D effects
The texture looks alot more realistic..

You have to avoid using asymetrical lightsources on a head, it makes it look really fucked up, most of the time.
Other then that, I think it is looking great so far, nice job.
