Recently in multiplayer I have been unable to see the shadow person who moves during your turn and you can see where the fighters are going to go. The opponents shadow person has disappeared. I can see mine and clicking on my opponent doesn't do anything. What can I do to fix this?

Try pressing 'B' a couple of times. This toggles both your and your opponents ghosts.
