WHAT THE FUDGE, is my processer doing!
Well, this is crazy, my computer (after fiddeling with bios) booted up saying,
"hyper-threading technology detected" and something about enabling it, even though i only have a Intel core2 Quad q8200 running at 2.33 ghz.

Can somebody give me a hint if it will actully work,
and will it improve my computer speed?

Edit
cpuz and my cpu gadget are saying 4 cores and same speed,
also systems specs

4gb of ram (3.25 usable)
500gb hard drive
nvidia 9800gt / 9800gt (not sure on which one)

Find the option to enable it inside the BIOS configuration. Yes it might give you a boost.

Well, it automaticly enables it, but i only get 4 cores still so i might fiddle and try and turn it off, but then again i might leave it,

found the bios option, for a foxconn mobo its, maxval which it discribes as "disable for winxp"

Hyper threading is not possible on the Core 2 series, I'd recommend disabling that.

HT works on Pentium 4's, and maybe Pentium D's, not so sure about the D series, as well as some models in the Core-i series.
