[Art] Non-traced Vector Face
Studying facial anatomy, etc. Not supposed to be perfect. Roughly 15 minutes. Only used the pen tool. 4 layers, including the background.

NONTRACED.

Did you use a reference image? I feel like that its pretty much impossible to make a face like that out of scratch.

Well it's not impossible, because I just did it. But I wasn't really expecting it to come out as good as I think it did. And this is the fourth try. The other three were decreasingly miserable, and deleted.

No, I opened a blank, 854x626-sized canvas and then just pentooled shapes. No filter. Posturize is what I usually do with my vectors, but this is the only one I didn't do that with.

I just pentooled different shapes that I thought would look slightly similar to the way light reflects off someone's face, made a new layer, made a new shape, made a new layer, made a new shape...

why do you use layers exactly in illustrator? unless this isn't illustrator, but i would assum otherwise it wouldn't be vector....
GIMP, and I'm calling it a vector because when looking at it, there's no difference whatsoever.
