The in-game chat is not working, only thing that works for me to communicate with others during the game is /emote, but typing normally shows nothing, and there are no chat messages.
What do I do?(yes, I tried /opt chat 1 , nothing happened, it's been like this since the moment I started playing.)

I tried that, more than once, and it didn't work. those are my horrible specs if it helps:
OS: windows XP home edition (5.1;build 2600)
CPU: intel premium dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz(2 CPUs)
RAM: 960MB
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c
GPU: VIA Chrome9 HC IGP

Did you try all chat cache options; 0, 1 and 2?

If that doesn't work, then try updating your drivers, 'cause Toribash is know to have some problems with VIA's GPUs.

also, I can't really update my drivers cause the only place I find with drivers is the stupid driversAgent which I don't trust.
