Do you think kids read enough these days?
I don't want to say kids don't read
ENOUGH as if there is some set limit that should be read, I just don't get why kids don't read. I mean, I'm 15, going to be a softmore this year, and I'm one of like 5 guys in my grade who actually reads with out being forced to. And I'm not just saying Harry potter. Congrats you read a 300 page
"novel" that has a movie to go with it. No, I mean like real books.
Personally I enjoy Steven King and Dean Koontz. I just got done reading Kings, "Under the Dome". Great book,
BIG book. 1000 pages I believe. But it's almost like a book of that size scares kids. It's like a set feeling to just hate reading. I don't want to say "
just try it you'll like it" because that's not true. I'm sure some people just don't like to read. But honestly, why doesn't anybody read anymore. And it's not even just kids, more adults don't read, there might be some statistic some where to prove that, but look around, no one reads as much as before. And maybe that's because of all this new technology. But books will never go away. Too much history.
Reading has it's advantages. For one thing, you can understand what I'm saying. "not ny of dis sht"
Also, for those of you that do read, name some of your favorite authors, with examples of books and why you liked them.
Lastly, I hope all this wasn't too much for some of you kids to read, please discuss what I said, and also share some of your favorite authors.

Thought I should make this known. I'm not against reading from tablets, computers or things electronic. I'm simply saying kids don't seem to read enough in general.
