Are bump maps really normal maps?
They are listed as 'bump maps', but when I put in normal data they work quite well, thus leading me to believe that they are in fact normal map!

/dl and /lp me to check it out, especially note the nose and eyes...

They are indeed normal maps... I know that because I do 3d animation and design, definitely normal mapping, bumpmaps are usually greyscale.

Yes, they are normal maps. Normal mapping is a pretty standard way to bump map. I don't really see the point of this thread.
i have a totally post modern tattoo of a scalene triangle.

But why does any bumbmap that i see hs no texture?
All the bumbmaps are just white...bug or is it going to be fixed?

Are you on 3.91? Also make sure you have a texture active.
