Here's my first full video. Not too many effects in it like many of the other vids these days, but I hope it's to your liking.



Edit: If you watch it in 720, it probably won't lag as much

Nope, I have a mac. I don't have enough money to buy final cut pro or get it via other means, so I used iMovie for this video. I also just downloaded after effects last weekend, but I only used it for one effect.

Damn, I didn't make it in the video....Meh, It was expected. My replays suck.

Anyway, the effects were great, the song was unexpectedly great. I don't see anything missing for me.

I really liked it, but for a few things. The editing was good, and I enjoyed the music and effects. However, that picture slideshow at about :56 was really awkward, and didn't really go with the whole vid. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it. Nice job and I hope to see you make some more.

Yeah sorry, I liked the replays that you posted, but I was having a hard time trying to find a good spot for them. I did watch every replay though.

Yeah, I had originally put that in as a temporary filler so that I could move on to the next part of the song. I was supposed to change that, it was laziness on my part.

I love your freecam style. I suggest you keep it and try not to clutter your future videos with too many effects. Maybe a bit more than you used on this vid, but other then that you did a great job with them. For your first video at least.

Thanks Doxxy. When I get more acquainted with the after effects interface, I'll start applying different kinds of effects and transitions.

Also, using the freecam and keyframes were tough. I had never really used them for anything before, so it was all pretty much learn as I go. For example, since I didn't have a camera shake effect in my program, I had to apply the shake manually while applying keyframes for the freecam. I'd end up accidentally clicking Shift + K and clearing all my keyframes. This was especially tough for spar in the end.

Most people make their camera shakes in their program. For example, in sony vegas, you could use a camera and edit keyframes on a time line to make it shake. Like keyframe 1 and point a, keyframe 2 on point b, etc.

I never really got into video making so i might be wrong but that's how i would have done it.
Then again i don't know if the program you use has that feature.

But yeah, i felt your free cam captured more of the feel of the game. Made me want to go play for a bit :P
