Three games I love and why they're addicting, starting with toribash.
With toribash the drive is to learn new moves and kick ass and stuff, but for most kids like me it's the waiting and sucking that kicks your ass. The game itself isn't very addicting, the community is.
But with skyrim it's the opposite, the storyline and playing through with no wait, other than the walking, really captivates a whole lot of people and gets them intrigued. However, out of the four forums I've been on, they were poorly moderated and suck donkey cock. No fun.
Minecraft is a bit more addictive than toribash, and a bit less addictive than skyrim, but vice-versa for the forum. It is very interesting to me to build and design structures from basic blocks, but I can't do it for eight hours straight like I can with skyrim. Three or four max. The forums are well moderated, but there isn't a whole lot of active members.
So yeah they all have flaws and cons, but all in all toribash has kept me addicted the longest because of the community and all of the awesome people I've met.
