I assume you are talking about Head Textures. If you are just starting out in texture making, I recommend checking out the "Art" section of this tutorial index. Also check out Art & Textures board and take a look at the head textures then contact their artists for tips. That's a good start.

Practice and make more textures. You will soon become a good artist. Good luck!
