try using thinner brush sizes. they take longer but it looks better. I use bruch size 1 to mek lines on my head textures. also try making the heads symetrical, because if one size is lop sided, then it'll look wierd. Just keep making heads, and eventually you'll be makin awesome heads. I wouldnt make a shop for them yet, (I dont even make shops) i dont even think im good enough for a shop, so i do heads for friends or clanmates, but i would suggest getting better practice to keep from the jerks who "helpfully Critisize".
