You start this map coming out of a truck, and right off the bat cops are shooting at you. You have to move the coke to a safe place (notice the bottom right corner says i'm carrying some). When you're carrying anything - cash, jewels, drugs, you move much slower.
Here I'm picking some locks to get to a roof. This is a possible spawn spot of our escape vehicle and it's best to get it out of the way FAST rather than needing to do it while cops are on you. In the second one, in the uppe rright corner you see that the police assault started which means that we're going to be surrounded very soon
Very start of the assault, this is when the weak cops are sent in. You can see some small blurs behind the cop cars in the distance, those are the cops. Might need to zoom in on the picture. The red crosshairs indicate I shot one.
The vehicle for the coke arrived and we have to go throw it into the truck. The briefcase surrounded in a square is where we have to drop it off, completely opposite in the direction of what I assumed with the lock picks.
We reach the truck and begin to throw the coke into, getting 9 bags in there even though only 4 are required (if you go over the mission minimum, your reward is higher and you get more exp/personal cash - more on that later)
Now that we got the coke into the truck, we have to reach the escape vehicle. Again, in the complete opposite direction of where we currently were and nowhere near where I lockpicked (this was a spawnpoint I havent seen before, the maps arent "random", I've seen a lot of repeats, but there's a lot of spawn points for everything)
We can't make it to the escape in time, another police assault has started, and going out into the open during one is guaranteed suicide. The more assaults you go through, the more special units spawn and the more beefy the regular spawns are.
Cops on the roof across of where I'm standing. By this point I'm trying to conserve my ammo because ammo in this game is a very hard thing to come by. If you kill a mob they will drop some, but it's never enough, plus mobs typically die in the open and going out into there is, again, suicide.
More cops on the road. My teammate gets downed, which means someone has to go help them up. If you get downed 3 times, on the third time you go into custody which means you're out of the game for 4 minutes, which can be reduced with the talent tree. 4 minutes is a lot in this game. In between assaults, this guy (bane) will try to do a trade - your teammate for a hostage. If he does, you have to go free the civilian, but when you take hostages they're in the open a lot too, and we've discussed being in the open in this game. Even in between assaults there are plenty of cops which makes it dangerous.
One of the special units - you cant damage him from the front thanks to the shield, which means one member of your team has to be behind him to kill him, which is harder than it sounds in a lot of situations.
Notice how, compared to the previous picture, in the upper left corner it no longer says escape is available. Thats because we didn't reach the first escape in time, and the cops got ahold of that escape route and captured him.
We were able to take down the special unit but the guy who baited him to turn his back to us got knocked down, so I'm helping him up.
New escape route, this time it did spawn after those 2 doors I lock picked, so it did come to use after all. The assault is still on, but we don't have to go into the open too much so we decide to head for it.
Made it the escape successfully.
However, that was only the first half of the mission. Now we have to do the second half - securing the drugs.
Here we move the drugs to a safe location (police can take your loot by the way - in heists, in drug busts) Orange outlines are the bags of drugs.
Another example of things cops can do - they can throw smoke grenades (it's clearing up in that picture, normally when they throw it you can't see any cops until they're right in your face.
Here we are securing the dock for which the boat will arrive in. We know which one it is because bane told us which one it will be a minute prior.
We meet the 4 bag requirement, and an escape helicopter arrives. However, there's still another 4 bags to go, and if we want, we can wait until the boat comes back again and get more rewards from the mission.
I didn't take pictures from here on out because it got very intense, but basically here's what happened.
We decided to stick around and see if we can get the extra 4 bags loaded, because the rewards are good. However, the cops began swarming us and we began to lose ground. I tried to help secure the bags but on a trip to the truck I get shot down by cops and taken out of the game. By this point they're
swarming the building we're in, and so my team decides that they're just going to leave on the helicopter rather than risk a mission loss.
So it's post game, and what do you do? Well, reap your spoils obviously.
You can look at crew stats, to see the best stats across all 4. I had the highest accuracy of all 4 members of my team
Personal stats, along with looking at how much personal money I got - $47,807 (green #) which is a pretty good amount.
I leveled up. Yay, I get a skill point to spend and unlock some new stuff in the shop (seen on the right)
After every victory, you also get to "pick a card". From here, you can either win extra personal money, a weapon mod, or a mask part.
Here we see what other people got. 2 of us got extra cash (lame), one got a weapon mod, and the 4th got extra colors to customize his mask.
Here's how you customize a mask, pick a material, a pattern, and a color and wham bam.
Here's what my mask looks like.
Here's an image of the skill tree. I'm currently spec'd into ghost. When you get talents you need a skill point and $ to spend on it. There are 2 levels of every talent - Basic and Ace. Basic cost 1/3rd less skill points/$ but Ace provides better bonuses. Also some Basic/Ace things are totally different. One of my talents for Basic is to do extra damage against special enemies, and the Ace is for me to be able to hide corpses (handy for stealth missions)
