Kind of reminds me of some old fable were someone creates something, exposes it to the world, it is loved but then the person who creates it gets bitter because it has grown into something that is no longer the thing they created. In anger they snatch the thing back, only to die curled in a ball around a shriveled up carcass of the thing they once loved.

Yeah, I don't know whats going on, but it seems very stupid and self destructive at the moment. Perhaps if someone could give a reasonable explanation that wasn't shrouded in some ignorant attempt at sounding intelligent I might not be so upset by all this.
