Editing was pretty okay. Color of the tori was a little disturbing. Color correction right? I'm sure one of your fellow video makers will come around and give you specifics on that, or something. That motion blur effect felt a little misplaced and/or unneeded at that moment. Whatever those white flakes were, they also didn't feel right.
On the bright side, you make good replays. For your first vid, you have something pretty okay. At least you're trying out some effects and not doing some super over-edit, which is a video style I like quite a lot. Practice sync, figure out how to get better video quality, develop a better sense/use of the effects and you'll be top-notch in no time.
Glad to see another video maker with potential skill to rival some of the good ones around here.

This might help with your quality. In your composition settings, make sure it's in whatever size you want.
Personally, I don't like the bright blue/yellow of Uke's updated set, it looks so weird. If you feel lazy and don't want to delete stuff in uke's folder just /lp 1 ukeko. The video is titled Gold but there's nothing GOLD about it. Maybe playing around with the effects Curves or Hue/Saturation could alter the colors a bit. I never understood how Curves worked until I watched this video. That, or changing to a gold/yellow shader and playing with the cc to alter the shader. Make sure to put any Color Correction effects on an adjustment layer that's above your clip, so it affects all of the layers under it. The most used plugins I use for AE are Twixtor (syncing) and Magic Bullet Looks (CC). You could use Time-Remapping which is a default plugin in AE for syncing and all of the various color correction effects. I wouldn't recommend using 100% Magic Bullet Looks for color correction
