How to become the most efficient duel player?
Most efficient? It means winning the most TC pretty much. How do I do this?

P.s. I'm not great ingame and I've no idea how to learn to be great too

I'm not a particularly good player, but I can try and share.
In aikido at least, every player has a preferred playstyle. Personally I like using knees and pushes, but someone like Nomad will go for a suplex nearly every time.
If you can play every style competently, you can effectively counter your opponent.
Speaking of counters, most moves have a hard counter (my knee's vulnerability is the supporting hip apparently).

Mostly though, the number one thing that will cause you to lose is tilt, or getting mad.
It's a pretty hard thing not to get annoyed seeing as a lot of the duel community are reaaaaallllyyy arrogant people on alts, and then there's these other guys in some super cool kid clan who beat you by some luck and pretend they knew what they were doing.
Wow rant.
Anyway, sometimes I opt chat completely, that can help. I notice sometimes you're an okay guy, and you genuinely play better, but other times you get really mad and start doing really dumb stuff.

As for whether not to lift, just lift. People will bitch at you but if they can't counter 1 or 2 different lift moves then they deserve to lose their money.
As for making money, I think mastering a certain mod is the way to go.

I woulden't call myself the most efficient duel player but, what I find to be the easiest ways to win duels is start out low, and then when you get to learn your opponent you can go higher. Because usually if you duel for anything over 10k+ you'll always get that guys who kicklifts/shovels. And if you arent expecting it, its much harder to counter. So take a couple matches just to figure him out and go from there. Hope this helped

Wow posted this before I saw fear's post. We said about the same thing :/
I'm no duelist but I've played my fair share of games in tb so I feel the first step to becoming 'the most efficient duel player' would be knowing your opponent - their fighting style. Start duels at a low amount, take time to observe how they play. Once you know your opponent well, you duel high. Good luck duel-ing, I never really liked it, sometimes it's too much risk. ;p
Don't lose.
simplez, it's a fairly foolproof tactic.

like what shmevin does
1) Play with high moral integrity. Even coming back when you're winning in wushu. This is what grants you the respect and therefore access to duel old school players who don't have a problem throwing hundreds of thousands of TC at you in duels.

2) Make a notebook. Highlight your losses that you're confused when you lose, save the replay, and write down in your composition book a reference to that replay about what you did wrong, how to repair it, etc.

3) Corroborate. Talk and play with people that are at the highest levels of play. You don't learn how to play high level TK unless you're playing high level players in TK. There's no "standard" method to learning Toribash, so every guy who's played a lot of games knows something special that someone else doesn't know.

4) Don't gauge your success about winning or loss if you gained valuable knowledge when you lost some TC.

5) Don't be attached to your TC. Most high level players have a win loss ratio over .5, so if you're just dueling at a consistent number, you'll end up at a profit.

6) Toribash TakeOver, like comment subscribe ;P
