Hello, and welcome to my shop. This is the Custom Desktop Wallpaper Emporium, or as I like to call it, the CDWE. I am John Mirra, the store's proprietor.

This shop features a selection of images suitable for using as a desktop wallpaper that have been created my me, John Mirra, using Photoshop CS3. These images are all very large and high quality so there will be no stretching or distortion to fit your monitor.


Isle One, Soul Calibur
This isle features a selection of wallpapers celebrating the new Soul Calibur IV game by displaying your favorite characters alongside each other.

Isle Two, Myth
This isle displays images from the classic Bungie strategy games Myth: The Fallen Lords and Myth 2: Soulblighter. For these wallpapers I scanned in the concept art from the book then colored it in photoshop. Compositing characters and adding an old paper background makes it a complete wallpaper.

Description: Using two concept images of Combine soldiers, I composited this dark and eerie wallpaper showing the strength of the dreaded combine army.

Isle Four, Max Payne 2
These wallpapers are from the noir action game Max Payne 2. Dark and moody, these wallpapers are easy on the eyes due to a lack of bright white colors and great for viewing a computer screen in the dark. More coming to this section soon!

Isle Five, Vexel images
These images are vexel images, meaning they are composed of hundreds or thousands of layers individually drawn with the pen tool. I have drawn each of these vexel images myself with the pen tool in Photoshop CS3.

The Free Man

Description: Made up of 1,119 hand drawn shapes, this image took over 10 hours of work to produce. It is an image of Half Life 2 protagonist Gordon Freeman with a clean gradient background.

Description: Composed of 799 hand drawn shapes, this is vexeled from a concept drawing for the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl. Chilling in its forlornness, this wallpaper is a statement about the horrors of war.

Description: Composed of a whopping 1,683 layers, this image is my largest and most detailed vexel image. I have over 25 hours of work into this image of Viggo Mortenson, in a scene from his role in the movie 'Eastern Promises.'

Ordering Information Follows
Due to the size of these pictures I will be sending them through RapidShare. For this reason I will need your e-mail address when you order a product. If you don't want to put it in the forum, send me a PM.

Each image will be shipped at the resolution 1680 x 1050 unless specified otherwise. I have no problem adapting the image to your computer resolution so that you can have a prefect fit with no stretching or distorting, but you need to tell me your resolution when you make the order.

Each image will be shipped in the file format .BMP unless specified otherwise. I have no problem changing the file format to whatever format is best for you, but you must specify or it will be a BMP.

I am not adversed to making specific changes to an image, for example if you don't like a background on an image, tell me what you would rather have and I will substitute it just for you at no extra cost.

I will also take suggestions/requests as to what wallpaper I should work on next.

I think nightmare's new look is, quite frankly, horrible. A mouth/torso? come on. If I could find a good picture of his alternate costume or him from a previous game ...

The only good thing is that this horn on his head looks better tan in SC3 and i like the new helmet much more^^

It's funny how in SC3 the mouth/torso had already begun to develop, then in SC4 it just got out of control. But yeah, his head is better in the new one. His alternate in the new one isn't bad.

haven't seen the alternate yet.
