So, I have a friend who is unable to connect to any servers. He just made his account. And he can't join anything. /jo doesn't work. and joining multiplayer servers doesn't work. He can't join the quick servers or beginner servers that are empty. It keeps telling him "Not Connected".

Any Help? Does he need to complete the tutorial?

I currently am inable to connect to the servers using steam, maybe he should use stand alone version too.

I remember this happened to me once(Steam version). Reconnecting my internet connection solved my problem.

Oh, he's using standalone version. He didn't try steam yet.

This happens to me, You need to rejoin again and again, And it probably happens because of high ping or lag. just try to rejoin again and again, It will happen too if so much people in that server. (I'm using normal version)

He eventually connected. Like Herobrine said about connecting over and over. I thought it was his account, till I signed in on it from my computer and it let me play just fine. So I'm guessing it's his connection or Internet.
