America should stop getting in other countries' business seriously. Majority of soldiers are sent overseas. Who's to protect America?

I just feel we need to stop thinking it's our duty to solve everyone's problems. No one is coming over here helping us out. Forgive me for being selfish but we got problems of our own.

If they actually did leave, countries would complain that they have such a big army but don't use it. Sometimes I think they need to buzz off, but think of what may happen if they actually did. Poor choice of a title too... The title doesn't match your statement.

The reserve, and everyone who is not stationed in another country, I think you are really low-balling just how much military we have.

Their problems ARE our problems. Lets say we are country A and country B is a close ally of ours. Country B gets attacked by country C and makes it so country B can't trade valuable resources with us. We are at a lost, so we aid country B to keep them an ally and to make sure we get resources.

Its not as simple is "We should stick to our own problems" because A: The solution to our problems is NOT the military. I don't see how the Marines are going to attack unemployment and obesity. B: It is very linear to state this in the first place. We are a major power in part BECAUSE of our military force.

atm your title means America is greater than the world.

America need to (like my mother xD) step back and say "I think you guys should sort this one out on your own". It's nice of them to help occasionally, but not to get involved in every damn war.

It's too late to pull out completely. The economy would fall apart because calling THAT many people home would be devastating, plus countries would fall apart, wars would break out, and people would turn against us. I know it sound stupid to turn against us for us getting out of their business, but people are used to us.

America is far from being underprotected, We have 1,400,000 active personal aswell as 1,100,000 reserve according to GFP. We are far from not having enough protection.

America is a country of Immigrants, so I can only imagine that a lot of Americans have family in those countries and want support, that's just my hypothesis. That and we have this ideology that America is the greatest country in the world, obviously it's not true considering how much corruption we have along with all of our inequalities and broken healthcare system.

If America cut down its military by 80%, we'd still have the biggest military in the world.

Regardless of that, America isn't the greatest place by far. And yes, our troops need to get the hell out of other people's buisness. Sending medical personnel is one thing, but sending our own troops somewhere to fight other people is pretty dumb in my opinion.
