I wanted to try out toribash on my laptop, but it appears that I can see only a part of text's and a part of menu. This is really bothersome, any idea whats causing this?

some info on the laptop

Windows vista home premium

Processor: Intel core 2 Duo CPU T5250 @ 1.8GHz
Memory
RAM: 2038mb (2048mb probably but shared 10mb)
HDD: 750Gb
Graphics: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family (358mb)

I have update'd my craphic card and it didn't seem to have any effect, I also tried /opt hud 1, no effect, but I guess the hud is already showing since I see a part of it. I also redownloaded toribash few times, didn't work either.

The game seems to run fine with full working text's on my other 2 computers. I guess its no use, but here are theyre specs just in case:
Pc1:
Processor: AMD64 4000+ socket 939
Memory: 3GB ram, 3TeraBytes HDD
Graphics: NVidia GF 8600GTS (512Mb)

Pc2:
Processor: Intel Celeron 2200Ghz
Memory: 1,5GB ram, 1TeraByte HDD
Graphics: NVidia GF FX5500 (128Mb)

I also noticed that the ground is grey, I think it should be white...

I think you have anti alias turned off.

Give your driver an update - Intel's older drivers are having issues with the menus on 3.6x

I've had the same problem, but my drivers couldn't be updated, because Sony didn't approve the new drivers...

I just tried turning off triple buffering in the graphics driver settings and it worked... so maybe it'll work for you too...

well, I Updated it about 10days ago, But it seems that intel releases drivers really often since there was a new update just now and I tried it and the game seems to work way better now, I see all the text's, plus it increased the fps from 15 to 30. The only glitch It seems still to have is that trails and blood are flashing and are also displayed on everything. But its way more playable now, thanks skulfuk


Actually now that you meantioned it, it seems to do so on my other two computers, but now since i updated drivers on the laptop it seems to be kind of lightish blue...odd

Actually Intel Graphics dont even support anti-aliasing although it supports shaders :P

It didn't help in my case, I tried it also when i had the last drivers, but it only affected by lowering FPS.

Well, heres a snap of the blood glitch, same happens with hand and leg trails, also the trails are flashing, which cant really be shown on a pic

Any I idea how to fix this? I tried setting blood trails to off and on, the same happens with both.

perhaps the easiest thing to do would be Uninstall toribash and Re-download as you have obviously picked up some virus somewhere and it has worked its way into you're toribash folder

If you've got a transparency glitches with trails etc take a look in your graphics card's settings, changing the settings to a quality mode rather than performance normally cures it.

Virii more often than not just BREAK things.

I redownloaded it and installed it and I also checked for viruses. Didnt work.

I always have set all my graphic settings to highest level, since its a integrated graphic card, it uses more memory on the graphics to make the games run faster, eventhough the game dosent really look much nicer.
But I tried changing the settings by setting all to the lowest, but then the blood on the ground is square and the "flying" blood goes behind the ground, so its only visible when the blood is above horizon.

Yeah, GL apps don't like low quality settings - the image turns to crap.

No doubt it'll fix itself when they next update the drivers.
