My all-time favorite band. One of the most successful musical acts of the 90s and still going strong today. Having suffering the loss of their original lead singer, Layne Staley, they are still continuing with new singer, William DuVall. They have released 3 full length albums, three EPs, 2 live albums, 2 box sets, and a early rare collection album containing demos and unreleased songs which is known as Heroin. Although they are one of the leading four grunge bands, Alice in Chains's heavy metal/grunge style has seperated their rock style by creating their own type of rock. As one of the most musically diverse bands ever formed, they have sold over 15 million album copies and are about to release their newest album with new singer William DuVall in the Summer or Fall of 2009. DuVall's recorded voice will not be released until the album is released.

Mike Starr left the band to spend time with his family.

Layne Staley passed away due to an overdose on the drug speedball, and was found dead April 20th of 2002.

Inez played bass on the No More Tears album by Ozzy Osbourne.

I view them as the most musically connected of the grunge bands, due to their diversity in their styles compared to Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. Do not flame my opinion.

I have met all of Alice in Chains except Layne and Mike Starr, and they were extremely nice guys. So no, they are not dickheads.

The Dirt album is one of the top 20 albums of the nineties, and AIC is one of the 20 best bands of the nineties.

I Love love love Alice in Chains. When I was in school I wrote a paper on them and got top marks for it. My fav songs are Angry Chair and Rooster.

I have every single one of their songs ever created...rare songs included

Alice In Chains is great. One of my favorites for sure.

Sadly..I have listened to every Alice in Chains song so much..that I burned out on them a few months ago. They're still my favorite, but when you listen to EVERYTHING they got frequently...well...yeah..same with every band.. D:
