Second: Be prepared for a nice rant, which mentions names. Yes, how brutal.

Many, many threads which are posted in a wrong forum, are spam, begging or anything which is against the rules include a backseat moderating post.
"This dude is dumb, ban him"
"This thread is dumb, close it"
Nothing so big, just a bit annoying.
But then there are these people who know what backseat moderating is and know it's against the rules, but they still backseat moderate.
"I don't want to backseat moderate but please close this thread because of its dumbness"
"Someone ban this dude for begging!!
This is not backseat moderating btw"

Now, THAT is something big and it's not only a BIT annoying, it's much, MUCH more annoying than "normal" backseat moderating.
Really, how can some people be so god damn dumb to backseat moderate and say "this is not backseat moderating" or anything like that?
I bet you think you will be smart when you point out something obvious... But you WON'T BE SMART IF YOU POINT SOMETHING AND YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY WRONG.
Or maybe you think moderators are stupid.
So, posting an I-post-a-backseat-moderating-post-and-point-it-out post is the same as posting a thread with big red text pointing out that moderators are stupid.

Now, what shall you do to avoid these?

1. So, you know what is backseat moderating. So, don't backseat moderate at all.
2. If you see a dude breaking rules, then REPORT him.
   • So, if you do it yourself... REPORT YOURSELF, THEN.
3. Want to point the obvious? SAY IT ALOUD IN REAL LIFE AND LAUGH AND SAY YOU SUCK AS MUCH AS YOU WANT, DON'T post in the forums to point that out.
4. Remember, backseat moderating and pointing out the obvious are bannable offenses.
   • You know this, so why to do it? WHAT the FUCK is WRONG with YOU!?

This has been stickied for two reasons:

#1: Pure truth.
#2: It's probably the best thread in Discussion for the past two months.

And although there isn't much to discuss here, I still think it's important to have it around seeing as some of our members seem to be just that stupid. Backseat moderating should be reported, and it will earn the backseat moderater an infraction. Also keep in mind, that posting about a backseat moderator being a backseat moderator is also backseat moderating, so keep to Tonakai's advice and just report it.
