Secret Santa 2024
Original Post
O Lawds
I'm about to get off at the first island in my Hawaii trip tomorrow, and I've booked a
tour for it, which I hadn't previously. I wanna get off the boat now
;_;
It's a pretty massive boat, it's like 15 stories high and our first
night was insanely rough. We sailed through those two massive lows
that were hanging around Brisbane and Sydney, not good for my first
night on a ship. I almost threw up. I was totally fine on the plane,
though, that was pretty awesome. Got to see clouds in a 3D perspective
for once :3 (I haven't been on a plane since I was 20 months old [SHADDAP])

I'm used to the boat now, I don't feel sick or anything anymore. Got
some really awesome pics of Sydney harbour. There was a great sunset
and the ship's so damn huge, we cleared the bridge by only 2m. I bet
the captain was crapping himself. Anyway, I got a video of it which I
won't send to you cos it'll be like 50mb. Once I can get at the card
reader here, I'll send you a photo of me looking like a douchebag in
front of the harbour bridge. :B

Send me a reply and clean out yer inbox, Steve. I posted this here in case you didn't see it in your hotmail.

Tell me what Mum and Dad say, btw.

Seems like you're about to have a nice trip.

And seriously? About the plane thing? Oh well.
And you gotta admit it, the plane seats can be a bit comfy, right?

On long trips, plane seats are badass. On short ones, your knees are at the same level as your ears.

And enjoy Hawaii. Sounds nice.
Can't ring, Steve, I was out of range the moment I passed the harbour bridge. (I tried to ring as soon as I landed, but you and mum had your phones off. I got dad, though) I just saw the first island today, Tonga. I barely slept all night cos I was worried about missing the tour, so I got up at 5:30 and waited outside with some guys. We saw the lights on the island come over the horizon, and the sunrise. Unquestionably, it was the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen. The sun is literally about twice as big here as it is in Aus, and it was blood red. Just like you see in those brochures and stuff.
I went around Tonga in a 'rustic' bus (replace the ic with a y and you'd be right), saw some awesome blowholes and went to a rad beach resort where they had a heap of people doing traditional war dances and drumming and stuff. I had a PINEAPPLE FANTA there.
Tonga itself is pretty dilapidated, for every decent house, there's a crumbling shack next to it. We're off to Vava' u tomorrow, but I didn't book a tour. So I'm gonna wander around there for a bit. And get some photos of the sunrise as well, before I disembark.

I'm OUT.

Wow. Sounds nice. The closest thing (Geographically) I've been to anything like it is southern France, along the coast of the mediterranean. Enjoy!
K, back. It's 1:30am and I slept from 1:00pm - 9:00pm so I don't think I'm gonna sleep at all tonight. I'm gonna try to book a tour on Vava'u tomorrow, a hike up a 650 foot mountain. >:3 HUAR. It should still be available, seeing as this boat is mainly full of old people and they don't hike due to hip breakage, etc.

I'm gonna be so wrecked. I've taken about 500 photos so far, methinks. That's about 750mb on a 4gb SD card, so I'm ok for space. I just found a card reader, but they've disabled My Docs on these computers, and I'm on a satellite connection (it's like freaking dial-up all over again) so Photobucket ain't working. I'll wait until I can use someone's laptop or something. Sorry steve, you won't be getting photos for a while yet.
D:

I've eaten just about all the cheesecake at the late night buffet, and this net costs a ridiculous amount.($0.75 a minute) I've used about $70 already. ;_;

Steve, post here instead of gmail, cos it's being a bitch. Tell mum and dad I say hi.

Damn, that sounds nice. You better share some photos with us that's not in your family as well, when you get to it!

650 foot? That's... Ehh... A third of my daily altitude. Sure, a mountain's a mountain. Enjoy the hiking and cheesecake!
