I love animated movies and tv shows but i don't really watch that many. Can anyone suggest some good movies or shows, that aren't really obvious or mainstream, that have quality animation(not just moving mouths). Im not that into anime or any sort of eastern animation culture but I am open to anything that isn't ridiculous. The only anime i have seen are the hayao miyazaki movies. So discuss your favorite animated shows/movies and if you have any suggestions please write them down

Two of my favorite animated films are The Iron Giant and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Nightmare isn't exactly an animated film, but still.

Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo for one. A timeless classic if ever there was. The animation is amazing, especially for such an old movie.

Titan A.E looked kinda good too, I guess.

mrrr, the animation style is way to similar to dragon balls for my taste, but it's still worth watching.

anyways, anything by hayao miyazaki is good (especially princess mononoke and howl's moving castle) and all of tim burton's stuff as well (especially his most recent movie coraline. his animation techniques have made huge advances since nightmare before christmas, and the story was written by neil gaiman, so it's doubly good).

EDIT: i didn't notice this was for tv shows as well. in that case, clone high is very good, as are invader zim and cowboy bebop
