Elite Dangerous is like open space where you can trade, pirate, mine stuff etc, and it's more realistic based, real flight physics and stuff.
While Star Citizen is all of that but more movie-like approach. When you get inside a cockpit of a starfighter you just feel like you are there.
You should look on yotube movies about both games. Its a dream come true for me.
