What resolution do you use?
Most people, know about the whole 512x resolution to 128. But I was wondering what is the most popular resolution among texture makers? This poll is designed to give Nabi a recent idea of what the majority texture makers might want in future releases.

I believe that Nabi should charge for higher resolution though, at least until it becomes a standard. The only reason I can think that it is on is that 512x by 512x; is that puts more of a stress on the company's servers and others, which naturally if you desired a higher resolution you should be willing to pay for it. (Untill it becomes a standard.)

Note: This thread was posted here due to the desired crowd, I want the opinion of Texture buyers, and sellers. Not some random dude on the Wibbles.

Hmmm 256/256 and 512/512 will dl too long, 128/128 if perfect
i'm making in 256/256 but when resized it's still nice
Ryuu was there :o
If I'm correct, you can't use anything else than 128x128... then why make it larger? It's quite stupid...

This is a thread to see if the people want larger than 128x because 128x is a small workspace that can't hold a ton of detail. Unlike 256x, this thread is also for deciding if the resolution where to be increased would people pay for it. I want to make it larger to better help textures and buyers get more of what they want out of Toribash, change for the better; which isn't stupid.

To fit more details a random guy said, but im working in 128x128, makes the sets better in my opinion.

edit: Dang, jinxZ posted same minute.

Well also people seems to pay more for 128x128, because the screenshots shows what you actually pay for, and you can add this fancy "Made in 128x128" in the bottom of the sale =) instead of the red warning.

Good point, conversely though; if 512x or 256x was the new 128x. People would definitely pay more for higher quality guaranteed, and 128x would be obsolete. I don't think anyone likes working in 128x, just that it's the Toribash standard, I mean what artist wouldn't like there piece to be at it's finest.

We gotta start the transition sometime, thing is 512x and 256x artists have problems with 128x. Doesn't work the other way around though,128x artists won't have any problems going into 512x or 256x, they just have to pick the 512x or 256x at first, then work their magic like we all do.

Vote people! I'm surprised a moderator hasn't given his opinion yet, it would be greatly valued since they know more of what's going around at Toribash.

I've always worked in 128x128. When I need to do higher-resolution stuff, I vectorize the texture so that it can be resized to 256x256 or more. Simple as that. In my mind, if you can't make a detail fit in 128x128, you shouldn't be adding that detail at all.

I'd like to note that hampa is considering some, ah, premium textures. No guarantees of whether or not they will happen. I can say that if they do happen, the price will be raised at a level equal to that of the quality. Which is to say, 4x more expensive.
