Alright, I've looked around for a few days now, and I still haven't found anything. Text, anywhere, under any conditions in the game are completely jumbled. Scrambled, letters in the wrong place, weird lines here and there. It does initially flash as the correct characters before it goes crazy, though.

That's it, though. All of the in-game graphics that aren't in text work perfectly.

This has been an issue since I moved over to Ubuntu. I'm running Intrepid, and to note, it worked flawlessly before.

I've read somewhere that some similar problem can be fixed with a driver update, but last time I managed to mess up my system pretty badly messing with the drivers, so I just thought I'd ask you fine people if I'm missing a simple answer.

Well anyways, I'll say what was wrong, make sure you didnt miss anything.
You need to set Quality in your graphics card's preferences. It even runs with performance, but in no chance with High performance.
