Well today I tried using fraps with toribash... and my video overall was 2 fps.
I use fraps a lot and it works well with other games(Team Fortress 2, Warcraft 3, Fallout 3, Flight Simulator X, Diablo 2) I usually get between 80-140 fps using fraps.

My computer:
ATI 4890 1 gb graphics card
Intel i7 processor(Came out a couple of months ago)
6 gb ddr3 ram
Vista 64 bit operating system.

Anyone know whats wrong?

Well honestly I have no idea.
My friend was having this problem too, he was running with 250+ fps on Toribash, then when he got fraps, the framerate got lowered to 15.

Do you have a registered fraps?
Also did you try messing with the shader settings in toribash?

try going to setup> scripts> then selecting the movie script. then run the replay u want to run and it saves it as a movie file. ive never used it but my friend had to when he put some stuff on youtube

K, FRAPS...

Toribash can slow down a lot during the recording, it's pretty heavy on your processor. However you can perfect video from it.

Set FRAPS to the same FPS you've got the game set to (either 30 or 60 - 60 looks smoother on video) & make sure the NO SYNC option is turned on. You say you've got a registered version, so the option will be available to you. That'll give you a perfect video.

Obviously camera work can be a nightmare while recording, so look in the mod forum for Fnugget's freecam script - it'll let you setup keyframes for camera positions before you record.

I have no idea why you're getting such bad slowdown with your machine though, it should be managing it with no problems. We record TB at HD resolutions @ 60fps with hardly any slowdown.

Try decreasing recording Size by half *is an option in fraps* and use the lowest resolution possible ingame when recording Should increase Performance significantly (and The dif Between TB and the games u listed is that TB is Open gl and WC3 TF2 DIablo 2 are all Direct 3D)
