Those facepalm's should be directed at you.
To make the globe spin, when you're in Gimp,
Filters>Animations>Spinning Globe
Then set the frames from 30-40 for a decent speed spin(The more frames the slower it spins), then save it as a .GIF , then tick save as animation.
Then upload it(Obviously)
Hope i helped.
And about the name, i think it matches, since it has white(Colour of ice) In it.
