What colour is the sky at night?
Forgive the stupid title it was all I could think of. And no I don't think this should be part of wibbles either.

Due to pollution in different areas of the world some of us have different coloured skies, and in a way this is just looking at how different areas of the world have different pollution levels.

My city has 1 million people in it and it's the second largest city in the UK if you didn't know. Thus there are lots of people using cars- more pollution. To make this worse Birmingham lies in a basin, trapping a lot of the thick smog here.
When it's cloudy at night, the street lamps light up the thick clouds above. What you find is a muddy orange sky. It can be scary and very interesting at the same time.

So, what colour is your sky?
i live in a small town (very small, like....i dunno how many people, but it's not even classed as a city.) black, or very very very dark blue.
Since I live in Gloucester (which as you may know, is a countryside area of the UK), the sky at night is often either black, with a glowing white patch of cloud due to the moon, or with light shining off the clouds, or, if it's clear, dark but with many visible stars in the sky.

What is more interesting is during and just after sunset. The sky goes from blue, through purple, to a deep orange during sunset, and afterwards its a light horizon with a red, yellow and blue band across the sky... Looks pretty cool. Helps me get to sleep at night (my bedroom window actually looks out over fields to the west, into the sunset).
Q = QUAKER OATS
Three rules of Q - 1. Qegola and Quarantine both start with Q. 2. There is no U in Qegola. 3. Qegola is you new god.

So a man walks into a bar with a monkey. I forgot the rest of the joke but your mom is a whore.
Mines really just black, but with no stars.
I live near preston, so that isnt going to help.

Cool. Unfortunately its rare that I can see the sun rise. One path i used to take to school was perfect and it was nice to see, with the peach to orangey colours. Sun sets, never see them in Birmingham (we do see the coloured sky, or a pinky peach colour). Although every year I go over to Pembrokeshire and find great sunsets just how you described, Qeg.
Now I live in the city I have the orange glow at night, but sunsets can be nice as I can look over the harbor or the Solent (If I take a walk) My favorite night skies were when I lived in Suffolk, right in the countryside... At harvest time a lot of dust and soil would be blown around into the atmosphere and it would make the moon go a deep Red, Spectacular.

TSR, I was born In Birmingham, and believe that contributed to me having Asthma what with all the dirty air. But other cities can be just as bad especially if they are surrounded by hills.

Mine is black. Due to the constant street lights during the night, stars aren't too plentiful. I can see about 30 usually though.

I live In London, england, biggest city In UK, and the sky isn't really orange, it is more of a light grey. There is tonnes of light polution, during the summer it is a lightish grey, really strange, and during winter, it is sometimes black, though mainly dark grey
