i keep spawning in the top of the mod or some place of it

I don't quite understand what you mean, but I shall still try...

When playing, press Enter and type
/set engageplayerpos 0
Alternatively, you can go to Game Settings from the Menu, and there type 0 in the engageplayerpos field.
