Do different countries have different playstyles?
Someone mentioned to me in a TK server that American players were "more grabby" than some European players and stated there was a distinct change in the way each country's players used their joints and movements. As an American player, I didn't really think much of that (partly because I don't really self-diagnose my play, so I might be biggest grabfag in the world), but now I am thinking.

Do you ever notice differences in play from players from different countries?
I think it depends on the person rather than where they play.
Though, it could make sense, since they play with people in the same timezone, therefore same country and probably pick up a few moves from those people. But I doubt it.

There are probably thousands of American players. I doubt they all play the same way.
I think whoever said that to you probably just happen to see 3 American kids play the same way then started to generalize things.
I agree with DeeJay. I think that your play style is more determined by you, not the country you are in.
LIGHTING FROM MY EYES
I don't think such a thing as a regional play style is possible either. I suppose those Russian players who always play in Russian servers with other Russian players would contain themselves in a more narrow move range. But that is a mere hypothesis.

I've noticed is that Germans like to talk, and americans tend to leave when the're losing.
Russians, after they've lost, always wait for a revenge

That's what I saw.

Oh, and French people are always nice.

Don't flame me for saying what I personally saw.

At best that's probably generalizations, but there could be some truth to it.

Different cultural upbringings often result in a different base "personalities", and this applies to politeness and conduct in particular.
Yup, I agree with this.

I have never ever seen an Englishman retreat. Probably due to our upbringing
