i saw a lot of guys who selled a full bumpmap pack or other bumpmap things.
so: for what do i need bumpmaptextures?

i think they help u to put more details into ur textures...
but im not realy sure... the only thing i realy know about it is that it dosnt work in toribash 3.8..
i hope it work in the next version...

They make your textures 'pop out'. Or have a 3-D effect, if you pull it off correctly.

Well they aren't working in 3.81 so No point of having them. But in 3.82 or 3.9 they will be back and working

They don't work in 3.8 they should be up and working in the next version.

sry for bumping this old thread, but i bought a bumpmap ( head ) uploaded a pic and i cant see it?
where should there be more depth?

ok on gimp theres a filterter call bump map use that it should be a blueishpurple color that's what a bump map is used for it causes more depth

when you upload it, it automatically turns black/white

But as stated, it doesnt work in the current version, so dont get too excited D:
