I've got a problem with my recycle bin
Ok, I started downloading some files (~4gb), but as they were downloading I stopped it (At about 100KB) and deleted the files. In the recycle bin, they are listed at their full size, and explorer will not delete them from the recycle bin, nor will it restore them. I tried using CCleaner to delete them, but that just freezes. Any way to fix this?

well, I have the same problem occasionally. create a copy of a file thats atleast 2 gigs+

Go to my computer and look at your os. Did you lose 2 gigs? now delete the file. did you get the gigs back? Also: sometimes it automatically perma-deletes the file if it's too large but thats for Huge fifes like 16 gigs+

Hope I helped :x

I can't copy. That breaks it, too.

ON TEH PLUS SIDE: I bought a 1.5 TB hard drive so I can back up my computer and reinstall Vista.(Since when has that NOT solved the problem?)

Ok I restarted and one of the files managed to delete, but the other is still freezing.

I smell PROGRESS.

But, I think I can just leave that file there. It doesn't harm anything.

PROGRESS.

Yeah, just leave the file there. a few gigs won't hurt anyone.

It will if you lose 2gb a day automatically, like me.

Anyway, what file format is it? If it's a video format, then just wait about a minute before trying to delete. Sometimes windows will take ages to generate a preview from a large video file and will not allow you to delete it until it has done so.
Quick fix.

1.Open a command prompt window
2.Type cd recycled
3.Type attrib -h inf*
4.Type del info
5. Restart Windows

if that doesnt work. Just say.
