Ok so at the time I have a ATI graphics card.

Name: Radeon IGP 320M
Chip Type: ATI U1 (C6)

I would like to upgrade this card to at least the following:
ATI Radeon 9600
Radeon X series (X300 onwards)


other things about my laptop you may want I will list

Processor: mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP2400+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz

BIOS: PheonixBIOS 4.0 Release 6.0

System Model: Presario 2100 (DP454U)

uhh that didnt make any sense. is there any way to upgrade my driver enough to run shaders is what i was trying to say.

With that old one? I doubt it.

I'm pretty sure that that one doesnt even have pixel shader 2.0 support.

Depends on the laptop. The one I'm typing this on has a GeForce 8600GT on a MXM card that can be swapped for another.

Your Presario 2100 doesn't have a slotted card, which means it's on a daughter board buried somewhere inside it. The only card it can be exchanged for is an ATI 9600, but you'd have to look on a laptop spare parts site to find one for your laptop model.

(yes the graphics chip can be changed, but it's not easy)
