A dumb question about textures...
What is the difference between bumpmap textures and basic textures?

Bumpmap texture's add a 3D effect to normal textures, and you need normal textures to make them work. Unfortunately they don't work with 3.8.

I'm not sure about the new betas though, I would think the next official release would incorporate working bumpmaps.
