i would probably use something like that if i was making a song on two different machines and didnt want to deal with transfering music tracks and editing them together right away.
welp, its a cheap way to mix something in real time, like in the old days, before cd players, if you had a few mixtapes, youd listen to one deck (and search for the next song to play) and the other deck is playing to the crowd.
that way you can search for the next song without disturbing the crowd
