Looking for a Partner to Collab. on a Set
*Mods feel free to move this, I've seen several threads here and at Torishop discussion.*

Anyways, I'm looking for someone to collaborate with me on a set. In other words, I'm looking for someone to make a set together with me.

We would decide on a theme or something, maybe using a reference pic of some sort and pick colors etc. We would then work on the set together sending each other parts we've done and editing them and such until we both think the set is complete. If we decide to sell we would split the profits 50/50.

Some things that would be nice:
  • You need to have Photoshop, preferably a new version
  • Good at texturing... if you haven't sold a set for over 100k I probably won't consider you
  • Good with a "cartoony" style, I think this would be easiest to work with since the textures are being transferred back and forth. If you make incredibly detailed sets this probably isn't for you. (I want this to be somewhat detailed though...)
  • Relatively active
  • MSN would be nice to have
If you think you're up to the challenge post some of your work and I'll wait for someone suitable.
You can look at my previous threads if you want, this thread isn't about me.
I'm sure I'll know a lot more about Photoshop than anyone who enters anyway, I'll certainly know enough to make cartoon sets at least.

  • You need to have Photoshop, preferably a new version i have gimp. i can do anything in gimp that is possible in photoshop
  • Good at texturing... if you haven't sold a set for over 100k I probably won't consider you sold a set for 100k a month or two. have gotten better since then
  • Good with a "cartoony" style, I think this would be easiest to work with since the textures are being transferred back and forth. If you make incredibly detailed sets this probably isn't for you. (I want this to be somewhat detailed though...) im fairly good with any style except super-realistic. so that includes cartoony. actually, my newest focus is relatively simple-detailed
  • Relatively active on here every day, up to 8 hours a day sometimes

Not having Photoshop is a deal breaker sorry. It's not because of the limitations of GIMP it's because editing layers and things are easier when working with a .psd.
GIMP can't show certain types of layer "modes" which would mean that the .psd would lose quality when saved in GIMP.
