Whenever I plug m external hard drive or psp into my computer it eithertakes a ridiculous amount of time to recognise it, or it doisn't do it at all. Can someone help with this problem.
I also have a massive amount of svchost.exe's running and I was wondering if that was a virus of some sort.

svchost isn't a virus, it's a system process

did u look it the usb cable isent broken or maby there is a loos wire inside it happens

its ok i just restarted my computer about 15 times. my hard drive works in all slots but my psp only works in 2. hhmm.
